Nintendo Switch 2: Which Teams Are Making Games For It?

The Nintendo Switch 2 is here. Fans are excited. As for what developers are working on it, not much is known. We do know that Nintendo has many in house teams and some are definitely working on Switch 2 games.

Nintendo EPD: The Main Game Developers

Nintendo’s EPD group is the home of most of Nintendo’s game titles. They do mostly large scale franchises. Also they may have teams working on Switch 2.

EPD Groups and Their Likely Switch 2 Projects

EPD has several groups within it. Group 1 is of Mario which may be in the midst of making a new Switch game. Group 2 is focused on Zelda and a new entry in that franchise may be in the works. Group 3’s focus is on casual games there may be a new party game in the offing.

Nintendo’s RPG Teams

RPG fans are into Nintendo. Games like Fire Emblem and Xenoblade do well. Those teams are probably busy.

Monolith Soft and Switch 2

Breath of the Wild. For Switch 2 they are reporting to be making an RPG.

Intelligent Systems and Fire Emblem

Intelligent Systems is behind the Fire Emblem and Paper Mario games. We may see a new Fire Emblem for Switch 2. Also they may venture into the development of a new strategy game.

Retro Studios did Metroid Prime. Also they may be working on Metroid Prime 4 for Switch at this time. Or a brand new action game.

Next Level Games has released Luigi’s Mansion. Also they are into working on new adventure games which we can expect to see soon or maybe they will go for a sports title.

Casual and Multiplayer Games

Casual games are a big thing. Also Nintendo has teams in this area.

Nintendo EPD Group 5 and Mario Kart

EPD Group 5 is the producer of Mario Kart. For Mario Kart 9 we may see a release to Switch 2. This one is for the racing fans.

Nd Cube and Party Games

Nd Cube has released Mario Party. Out with the old in comes a new multiplayer game that is going to bring the fun to families.

Simulation and Sports Games

Simulation and sports games are a hit. Some teams may have developed these.

Animal Crossing Team

Animal Crossing: New Horizons did very well. Also there is a possibility of a new Animal Crossing for Switch 2. Or maybe a different life simulation.

Nintendo’s Sports Team

Nintendo released Switch Sports. Also more sports games may be on the way, of which we could see golf and baseball included.

Other Possible Developers

Other teams also have Switch 2 games in development.

HAL Laboratory and Kirby

HAL introduces Kirby. We may see a new Kirby game which could be in the action or platformer genre.

Game Freak and Pokémon

Game Freak is the creator of Pokémon. As for new Pokémon RPGs we may see more in the future. Out fans are in wait.

Nintendo has a number of teams at work. Most likely they are focused on Switch 2 games. We will see new Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon. Also coming are RPGs, action, and adventure games. Multiplayer and casual games also in the pipeline. The future looks very bright for Nintendo Switch 2.
